Hi, I haven't posted for awhile as my PC was illand I couldn't affors to fix it..I wonder does anyone know if the IVA fails do we automatically have to go bankrupt?
I've posted before about the issues I have had with communication and DFD.I had a review last December.Despite a pay increase of approx £400 and lots of communication I was never able to establish if I needed to pay more into the scheme.Lots of emails and calls and copied info to my IP.Husband has just been contacted,Now his turn for a review. His wage has not really changed. However, now very anxiuos again that we will be informed should have ben paying x amount more etc.I know the sensible thing would have been to save the extra. However, I can honestly say without my increase in wage I think we would have struggled with payments anyway.
I do have a contingency fund but that has always been eaten up by emmergencies
I was told DFD have started to post on here so any advice would be gratefully recieved
Thx Cat1

hi cat glad your back at the end of the day, it is in nobodies interest for your iva to fail,so a few months extension if you owe anything seems what might be recomended .

Hi
You don't automatically have to go bankrupt and it is unusual for credito`rs to insist on this. You will most probably just be back to square one if your IVA fails and can choose bankruptcy or a DMP

Morning.Yes it's very stressful.Always on the back of my mind, and at worst at the forfront!
However, it is nice to be able to get back on here and see so many familar names. And, of course get the replies and responses so quickly.
I continue to wish Clearstart had not transfered to DFD.All was well before then.An IVA is the best and the worst thing that has ever happened to me.
Like many people, all my origional debts have now been sold on.Wonder if I could contact these companies and do some negotiation?I am spending the extra income and we really do not have a lavish life style. No holiday again etc.Lucky to have a fiver in purse at the end of the month so very worried I will face massive increases and money outstanding.Even though DFD repeatedly said IVA going fine and no extra needed- just pay the set amount via SO as per usual,I have nothing in writing to confirm this as they didn't respond to my many emails[:(]
Thanks again to everyone x

Hi Cat
I understand your predicament and will certainly do what I can to help as best I can.
As was mentioned in one of the earlier threads, it is certainly in no ones interest for your IVA to fail and I'm sure we will be able to help you.
If you send your reference number to one of the administrators or Andy, they will pas it on to me and I will makes sure this gets looked at as a priority.

Thanks

Hi
Just wanted to say a big thank you to Declan and his team.DFD rang me tonight at a time convieniant to me.Clear, precise and very reasurring information was given to me.This is the first time I feel settled and reassured in over a year.
My IVA and husbands on track - no concerns.I apparently definately would have been made aware if I should have paid extra in to IVA.I wasn't so no issues and got all the reassurance I needed.
Able to go through other options etc and feel empowered.
Thank you so much for your time
Very much appreciated
Cat
