Typically it is 6 to 8 weeks in total but can be a lot quicker if necessary and if all the relevant documentation is received promptly, as Ladyh says above.

Excellent choice. You should be fine with them and of course Melanie posts on here all the time.

Good luck and keep posting.

Sorry for not realising who you were when you originally posted dojoman! We don't always manage to tie up our clients to their forum names!

Hi Melanie, it was only after finding this wonderful site, that I realised that there was possibly a way out of the mess that I had got myself in to. I decided to "hide" behind a username as I am quite ashamed of the position I have put myself in. Also thanks to everyone who posts on this forum as their contributions really do make a difference.

There is nothing to be ashamed of if you are in the process of looking for a solution to pay your creditors back as much as possible. This is something to be proud of, and I am glad that you feel a lot better after your chat with my colleague.

I think most of us have a different name, or at least are known by our first names.

I think it gives us a bit of freedom to be ourselves on here without wondering if anyone we know is looking in.

I started off with a different forum name and then changed it after acceptance of my IVA.

I don't mind my first name being used as part of my signature and by posters but having started off as Kallis, that's how I shall remain.

I will always remember the thread that Andy started 'what is your expertise', that is how I recognised a fellow forum member as a friend
