Ive just spoke to Coop and the man on the phone said I had no call back booked and the lady I spoke to was wrong the card number is Visa Debit not electron, and its the merchants that are wrong not them, however having looked on the visa website it states that 450875 IS an electron number
Has anyone heard any more from Co-op on this card issue?
I think the majority of people on here who have Co-op cards have been quite happy with them and have been able to use them without any problems.

I spoke to them about a month ago and they said they would only replace cards at renewal time or if it was lost of damaged.
As I've had no trouble using mine I think I will keep my electron.
I am getting quite brave, assuming places will accept it now without spending a few furtive minutes casing a shop to see if I can see the appropriate sign in their window.
After many years with a variety of cards to choose from and juggle my debts I find it serves as a reminder to the position I am in. Also it gives me a good feeling that the money I am spending is actually mine from an account with a credit balance.
Carrie oh so true, I used to be a bit bothered by my Solo card and scan schops for the accepted sign, now I'm more confident, I just get a little bothered when with my brother as he has no idea I've got troubles so normally take cash when out with him x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
I use mine whether the shop has the Electron sign or not and hope for the best! The only time I've had a problem was with M & S online, and I don't shop there very often so it's not a problem!
I've still got the Electron and I'm not bothered about changing it.
Usually, if you are on the electoral roll, you get approved straight away.
