Hey everyone, just wanted to add that this forum was a lifesaver for me, when I was faced with declaring myself bankrupt. Everyone helped so much, and helped me to make sense of it all. Andy, Skippy, Melanie and everyone else - my sincerest thanks. I haven't been on for a while, but nice to see so many old names on here!
Lovely to see an old friend posting again. I remember your case and know that you had little option but to file for bankruptcy and how difficult this was for you. How are things now you have come out the other side?
Skippy, Melanie - lovely to hear from you too. Yes, all going okay thanks. Have been discharged, so no BRO, although still have 18 months of IPA payments. I am feeling much more positive about life now, and am feeling better about things. I am still saddened that I had little option but to declare my bankruptcy, but feel that I am paying something back via my IPA payments. I have pointed several people who are struggling with debt to this website - everyone is so friendly and helpful. I feel that I have learned so much from my bankruptcy, and having to live to a strict budget has really helped me focus. It's amazing how little you actually NEED. You may WANT things, but whether you actually NEED them is a different matter! Hope all is well with you both. D. xxx
