We have sent our documents back today apart from an egg credit agreement as after writing to them with £1 we were told it could take 12 days, it's been 10 so hopefully not much longer. Just wandered roughly how long the process might take from now. Am snapping at the kids and fed up of taking quiet life tablets to help me sleep. Also if we don't get accepted we will have to go bankrupt and I can't continue with my job, am currently on maternity leave so would prefer not to have to start back and then leave, would be difficult to explain, would prefer to just not return after maternity leave. Have had to confirm my return and childcare for the iva but that would all have to be un confirmed if we don't get it. Just want to desperatlet know which way my life is going to go so I can stop worrying myself sick

Hi
If your paperwork is all present and correct then your IP will draw up a proposal and after you have agreed it will send it to all your creditors with a 21 day notice period, on average.
I would think that you are looking at 4/5 weeks approx for your IVA to be in pace

Perhaps even quicker Andy if the documentation is all in order. It seems like you are 90% of the way now, so hopefully things will begin to move at speed over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks Melanie. We are with you actually, thank you for helping us. We have sent our documents by special delivery today but are still missing two items. One credit agreement from egg and our most recent mortgage statement. Hoping those two will come soon as we requested them ages ago, other than that it should all arrive with you tomorrow. Finding this all so difficult to cope with whilst juggling a young baby and a toddler and just want to know a yes or no. I know we are in good hands though, thank you.

Could you send me a quick e-mail to identify yourself from your forum name, so that I can see how near we are to drafting your proposals. Should not be too long now!

Im on an IVA and it took Harrington Brooks aprox 31 days from start to finish to arrange everything and to take my first payment. I would recommend them as a good company, from start to finish.
