Hi ALL
Still waiting for my proposal from GT but rang this morning and it was sent out yesterday so should hopefully receive it tomorrow
This morning my husband has recieved a letter from paragon who's calls we have beem ignoring as we have told them 3 times about the iva proposal. The letter says because they have been unable to contact us they will be sending someone round to the house

Do we have to let them in ?Do they have any right to take anything?
Any advise on how to deal with them would be appreciated ?
Would our IP be able to stop them coming?

Can't wait until this is all over
x

I would get GT to have a word with them to explain the timescale and to politely ask them to wait until your proposals have been circulated.

If they do call at your home, do be polite to the caller (who will only be doing his/her job at the end of the day) and provide them with all of the facts. It is likely that they will go away quietly, with little bother.

Good advice from Melanie.

I had a caller from Mercers (barclaycard) on the night before my creditors meeting. He was a decent guy, I told him about the IVA, he looked confused, then went on his merry way.

These people are normally ok, they aren't 'bouncer' types, they want a quiet life too.

Don't be worried.

I had a visit from someone representing Barclaycard (actually it was a Sky Credit Card) - I told him if he wanted to communicate with me to do so in writing, he asked if I had a contact telephone number, I told him I did but I wasn't prepared to give it to him and off he popped, no further comments or questions and no fuss whatsoever so please don't get stressed and as Melanie says they are only doing their job but you do not have to talk to them. In the unlikely event you get someone who was unpleasant and threatening, they have no right to be on your property and if asked to leave, immediately have to do so. But I wouldn't even worry about a knock on the door because reading the forums on here it is EXTREMELY RARE that they ever send out people.
IVA Completed! :-)
