Hi,

How long ago was it that your paperwork went in? Once they have received it then it doesn't usually take long to draft a proposal.

Kingswood have been mentioned on here before, but I have not idea what they are like as a company.

They should contact you soon then.

You will be worried - it's only natural. Anything you want to know, any support you need, post anytime.

We know what it's like.

They should ring you as soon as the paperwork is received, to see whether it has arrived safely and to arrange the appointment to discuss your case. Have you actually spoken to anyone from this company yet?

Kingswood is who my sister 'was' with, terrible service, she always had to chase them for progress and information. They also put her on a DMP first while sorting out the IVA, after more than 2 months of the apparently sorting it out I convinced her to move to Melanie's company. When she finally moved and called Kingswood to tell them, they were extremely rude to her, she also had paid them over £1500 for the service (that's without the 30% they were taking from the DMP and who knows what amount they would have put in the IVA)
Anyway Melanie's company is now looking after her while she sorts out a BR as her situation changed.
Just be very careful, I know one bad experience is not anything to go by, but they are worth knowing about.
Approved 3rd June 2009 first payment made on the day.
Offer made and settled - happy days

I think with a lot of these companies it's swings and roundabouts. What suits one isn't good for another.

I don't rate MDC at all, but I know of at least one poster on here who likes them.

If you are happy with them, then continue with them. We all have our own personal preferences.

Mine was 3.5 wks from making the phone call to having iva accepted - start to finish but I keep all my admin in order and was able to send everything when it was needed immediatly. and from reading subjects on here I think my case was very straight forward.

I hope you get sorted it is a stressful period but when i got the call to say it was accepted I was over the moon.

I can fully reccomend a chat to David Coleman at money, debt and credit.

best of luck
Dee

Unluckyone,
Mine took 42 days from start to finish, this included the Easter period, so even quicker if you take off the holiday period. Again, mine seems one of the simpler one's that have been approved. Cleardebt always were quick and proffesional. Also, it can depend on how quickly you act when asked for something. I am sure they will contact you shortly.
