Hi just started an IVA..my question is...my payment date is the 7th of the month...i did put a standing order which i got from IP which stated the 7th of the month on the standing order as that was when i was paid from work..but on my account for Justabank..says am overdue as it states that payment is for the 7th for all payment dates..my first payment was paid on the 8th as the 7th was the sunday..and my next one will be late as it takes about 4 days to clear if taken on the 7th..will this be classed as a miss payment..as i read three missed payments can void the IVA..I have contacted IP if i need to bring payment date forward..but that will mean i be very short of money this month till i get paid on the 7th...

It will technically count as a late payment not a missed one.

When I first set up my IVA, the direct debit got set up wrongly and as a consequence my first payment didn't arrive on time. I was contacted by my IP saying that the direct debit hadn't arrived. Having established it was a numerical error, they corrected it and asked me to send a cheque. My first payment was therefore over about a week late. It was never recorded as a late payment. If this is your first payment and it's just a bit of an admin cock-up, I'm sure they'll overlook it this month as long as they get their money at some point this month and as long as you have everything rectified by next month.

N.B That's just my opinion from my own experience

Fallenhero - this happens to me all the time with Payplan on the Justabank facility. It always says it is overdue, and then shows as clear once the payment has gone through.

Payplan have never pulled me up about it at all.

I am with PayPlan and get the same message on JustaBank. My payment leaves my bank account on the 1st of each month and they receive it 1 to 2 working days later. It's just a computer programme and nothing to worry about.

Yeh, same for me as well.
Sometimes its a few days later because of weekends/bank holidays etc,
I'm sure that Payplan know this and they have never contacted me yet over this matter.
You would think that funds transfers would be immediate these days.....but hey ho

It's the same with my IPA payments - they are due on 30th of each month which was the date I used to make the payment to Clarke Willmott. When the collections changed to Moon Beaver they advised me to make the payments a couple of days early to ensure they got it but 30th.

My payments are scheduled for the 1st of the month. They leave the bank on that date and reach Paypal a few days later.

As long as the money is paid, I can't see a problem if there is a few days difference in when it leaves the bank and when it is received.

I've never had a problem with it.
