I applied for a new bank acount before setting up my iVA. I went with Nationwide as it was one of the few banks not conected to my creditors. I have an ordinary flexicount with a cheque book and Visa debit. I was offered an overdraft, which I declined. I opened the account online and was amazed at how easy it was!!

Anything that isn't British is ok I think!

I don't think anyone in the banking industry will be employing him anytime soon!

He runs a football club in Eire now, so your money is safe![:D][:D]

No he didn't. He spent some time in prison, contracted cancer (which he has now got over) and I believe makes a lot of money as an after dinner speaker.

He has his own website.

I think he spent 4 years in a jail abroad as that is where he was gambling on the stock exchange and from what I have read the conditions in the jail were not the most pleasant. I don't think he set out to finish the bank it was he started losing money on the stock exchange and then starting gambling more to cover the losses which resulted in losing more.

I can't remember for sure but asia springs to mind. That might have been where he was gambling from. I think he also did a runner so he may have gone to asia perhaps. I will try and find out.
