Recieved my proposals today and everything looks scarier in black and white. I could have cried. Was going to abuse my punchbag for an hour but dont think i will bother now seeing the proposal form has winded me.

Don't be scared of the proposals and anything you do not understand ask your IP or the drafter. They can look a bit scary but being legal documents there is a lot of rubbish in them that you do not need to worry about.

I don't know about you Wickerwish but it all seems so final, which is really strange seeing as I never felt the same when I took the loans etc out even tho they were going to take years to repay!! signed the proposal now will get it in the post.

Good Luck to all of you, it really will be a relief when all this is sorted out for you. From returning you documents you will likely have a creditors meeting in about 5 weeks.
As you have probably been told, switch your banks (if necessary), and stop paying your creditors, the money you save will be invaluable as a contingency when you start you IVA. Good Luck and keep us posted on progress.

Wisherwick, this site is brilliant, I have gone from total despair and worry to delight and having a real future within 2 months. How is that for a turnaround. Everyone on here is great. The support and quality of advice is first class.

Our ivas were approved in April but when the proposals came through, even though I knew it was right and there weren't really many other options, I was absolutely terrified so I do understand how you're feeling. I went into panic mode full of what if's, should we and so on but we did sign and it was the right thing for us. What you're feeling is normal, just take a step back, have a think and make sure it's right for you before you go ahead. I'm sure it is right for you though.
Good luck !
