Well I am sure David will sort it, I am with cleardebt and they work really fast. That is really bad of VW but hopefully it will all get sorted soon. Sorry to hear about your back... I have had back problems off and on and it is such an irritating pain because you cant escape it.. at one stage I was taking a hot water bottle to work!! When you are stressed and pain it is easy to upset people but those that love you will understand that you are stressed and in pain and forgive you. I caused numerous rows before I applied for an IVA just because I was so stressed out.

Glad they have helped you out. The advice that Cleardebt offered me during my IVA application was invaluable. Nothing ever seems to much trouble and they always get back to you quickly.

Im a bit concerned as I have just left a somewhat unscrupulous debt management company. They took 500 pound in advance and encouraged me to transfer balances from my credit card to bank account. Then they had the cheek to phone and say im more suitable for an IVA but can get my 500 pound back so more debt. Im worried this will be viewed as rapid spending by creditors.

Don't worry, let Melanie know when you speak to her and she will know the best way to deal with this.

I think some of the experts may be interested in this company as this does not sound right at all. Do try and use a company who don't require up front payment. If they have to work for your money, then i believe they will get a better result for you. But once they have your £500, do they really care if your application is accepted. This is not to say that all companies who charge up front are underhanded, but it was this logic that told me to avoid these companies.
No company should be encouraging you to do creditcard balance transfers. I would imagine that these could be seen as rapid spending.

yes no good company should be encouraging you to increase your debt. I was advised to stop using my credit cards and catalogues straight away as soon as I decided to apply for an IVA.

A very dodgy sounding company! Who are they?
