It is certainly a step in the right direction Ida. Just as a thought make sure you stop the standing order as another poster recently had the money taken on a payment break. We are always here for you. look after yourself and the family.

Hi Ida,..I've only just caught up with your post as not been on the forum for a couple of weeks , but just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about your husband, I can understand what you're going through at the moment having had a member of my family who was diagnosed with the same cancer (gullet/oesophagus)...My thoughts are with you all and I'm glad to hear that you have managed to get in contact with your IP today..Just remember like the others have said, we're all here for you to offer as much help and support that we can, so please keep posting, and take care of yourselves....xx
IVA accepted 13/11/2008..17 payments down,55 to go..
Hi Ida, glad you have managed to get some sleep, taking action will help you feel a bit better. Glad things are slowly easing. Still thinking of you xx
I am quite new to this forum and have been following your thread and would just like to add my support along with everybody else.
Glad you are feeling better today. I think it is understandable that you are up and down and agree once you have answers you will be able to deal with the hurdles that life sends us.
I've been following your thread. I am very sorry that you and your family are really going through the wringer!! I wanted to add that my thoughts are with you and your family.
My dad was diagnosed with cancer in his oesophagus a few years ago, so much so that he couldn't eat anything as nothing would go past it, much the same as your husband. Dad had chemo to shrink the cancer, then an operation and then radiotherapy. He has made a full recovery and apart from not being able to eat as much as he used to, he is absolutely fine. The doctors and nurses at St James's Hospital in Leeds were fantastic and he was looked after from start to finish and surprisingly quickly and efficiently.
I had tears in my eyes reading your thread. God only knows how stressed out you are what with your husband's diagnosis AND IVA's to cope with. I just wanted to add my support - you must be massively strong to find the presence of mind to even type!!!!
