In reality these days IPs fees are based on a percentage of realisations - generally 15%. We did not force this, it was led by creditors - and my opinion we ought to revert back to fixed annual fees so that everyone knew what the charges were likely to be from day one.

You never know Melanie as the issue is up for discussion soon at the Technical Committee of the IVA Standing Committee meeting in May.

How did you get on? Have you spoken to anyone yet?

I have spoken to David's company (Cleardebt) and found a much better solution. We are so relieved because we don't need to leave our house. They suggested something that noone else did. It's much better when you talk to someone.

Please, please ring David or Melanie if you haven't already sorted something out. If we had found this solution earlier, we would have saved months or even years of worrying.
