Received a really nice letter from Egg this morning telling me that they had received details from my IP of the IVA and as a result were freezing my card and therefore could I please destroy my card. They say they will now deal with the court appointed officials. They say I will receive automated default notices but I can just ignore these.
Also got a fairly ok letter from Northern Rock, saying they had also been informed and would be adding £63.25 to my loan amount to cover "dealing with and voting on your IVA proposal".
Finally a letter from MNBA, saying that I should be hung, drawn and quartered, will be facing court action, etc, etc.
Interesting how different creditors manage these things.

What on earth is the matter with MNBA? I believe they back the Virgin credit card and Richard Branson is on record as saying people in financial difficulty should be given help!!

Egg were exactly the same with me. Sent me a letter informing me of the freeze on the accounts, then didn't bother me again until the day of the meeting when they rang me to ask how it went!

I also received nice letter from Egg after IVA approved. I am still getting phone calls from debt recovery agency for Vanquis. Saying they know nothing about the IVA. They say they will give me 10 days and then start contacting me again.
I spoke to my IP who said everyone has been informed, but it can take time to filter through all departments and if they phone again to get their fax number and contact name and he will send them copy of report to prove I have an IVA.

Yes - didn't have many creditors that voted but Egg did. I just made it with 77% votes yes. My big creditor Tesco and RBS didn't vote - but have not heard from them since IVA approved.

Maybe its the sign of all the hard work Melanie and David (and other IP's) are putting into ensuring that the initial phase is as stress free as possible, by dealing with the creditors.
F&F Accepted on 12th March 2015!

egg have been very good with me. Do you think Gordon Brown works for MBNA as a sideline as he also does not know his A*** from his elbow.
IVA.co.uk The best place for debt advice. Thanks to Melanie Giles, David Mond, David and J (Elv5) Kallis, Dand, Skippy, Andy Davie
