I agree that the fuel companies do quite a bit for there share but the government need thier 80% so they can do feasability studies into how much more they can tax us on they don't only use the money to pay for porno films for thier partners

Or claim for second homes when they don't live in their first one, just rent it out and live in a rent free place!

That's the latest scandal on the news - Geoff Hoon this time!

I don't think anyone in the Labour Government isn't bent are they?

If we could get away with expenses in our jobs what MP's are getting away with this forum wouldn't exist because none of us would be in debt

They're all as bad as one another!

Mind you, I do think this government is worse than most!

You know things are bad when the country voted Tony Blair in and they boot him out for someone else. Surely the country should decide who the replacement should be.

Mrs. wen told me that our local Sainsburys were putting petrol up again last night - just days after the tax went up 2p.

The dollar is recovering slightly of late, and oil price has not risen that much, so I really am getting angry.

Brown and Darling are way out of their depth in understanding basic economic theory, practice and having any basic commonsense. The amount of dithering, U turns and suggested strategies have been undermined from waiting and doing nothing, then attempting to do something which is patently wrong, then having his GRAND BARGAIN bashed by the Germans and French - he and Darling are basically lame ducks fighting to stay in power running a corrupt government made up of free loaders trying to extract from the state every bit of financial expenses they can whilst some of them love pornographic films paid by us no less! No wonder Fred the Shred refuses to pay back his excessive Pension - he sees that whatever he has done wrong is just a drop in the ocean compared to what Brown and Darling have done.[V][:0]

Thank g-d May 2010 cannot come earlier enough and this disastrous labour government will be banished into oblivion for another 20 years or more - hopefully!!!![:D]

Totally agree David!

I see Mr Darling has admitted this morning that they have underestimated how bad things are (why am I not surprised?) and reckons we won't see any growth till at least the end of the year.

i get my meat from a butchers but get tins etc from asda or tesco if they have them the same price i get them at tesco's so then get clubcard points which then can use for few £££ freeshop or trips out i don't buy junk but can see the prices creep up i also nip into home bargains as they have cheap sauces sometimes like salad cream 72p whilst same was £2.72 in supermarkets i never used to shop around as much but do now luckily i have all the supermarkets within 3 miles of me
oh and nappies i do uses pampers or huggies have tried supermarket 1's but my son gets nappy rashes when they are worn and seem to go through them a lot quicker even though he has nappy free time
all the big 4 in rotation do offers on them i buy the biggest box i can and can get savings of up to £5 i check all my shopping prices on line then chose the one with the deals that suit us the most and go to that one right better stop as i'm srarting to waffle

Each to their own John.

Can someone please tell me why we are paying for Jacqui Smith's bath plug and toothbrush holder?!?!? Can they get their snouts any deeper in the trough?

I'm sure there will be some other expenses row sooner or later Skippy!

I feel quite sorry for Jacqui if she can't afford a bathplug![:D]

Elldina, I compare the prices between Tesco and Asda and it does help when you are shopping as you know exactly what your bill is going to come to before you go out.
