IVA accepted 13/11/2008..17 payments down,55 to go..
Hi, i am new to all this and am looking for comfort from those in a similar boat to me! I have read all your posts and its enlightening to know how relieved you are when you get the 'yes' phonecall!! My meeting is Monday, and i am both dreading it and looking forward to it. I have one major creditor which makes it hard knowing they hold the key....i dont know if this is a good or bad thing????
Rather than put yourself through the wringer over the weekend you could ring your IP this afternoon. Most votes are in by this stage and while there would be no guarantee it is possible your majority creditor has already voted and you can relax. If the large creditor had rejected it is likely that your IP would have contacted you by now to discuss the reason for the rejection. Ring the IP and let us know.
So Michael do you think there is a chance it may have been accepted in which case they wont contact me til Mon, just frstrating knowing its all down to one vote!!
If your company is Payplan, then that is who your IP will be with, but someone from the office would be able to answer your query.

Michael do you know how it is judged...are the creditors looking for a certain amount of pence in the pound, and are some more willing to accept than others...Natwest are my major creditor
Like most banks NatWest use an agent to vote for them and provided your proposal is a fair and reasonable offer there is no reason it would be rejected. Payplan are a good professional firm and would not propose an IVA that they did not believe would be accepted.
