Hi, I am wondering how long the IVA proposal should take
I first contacted my IP on Oct 21st and it seemed to be going ahead quite quickly.

I was told on 28th Nov by an administrator the proposal was under review by there manager and was to be sent to me for signing by end of last week.

I contacted them again today and was told it was still under review....Im not sure if this is the norm as they are probably swamped. My concern is its been 2 months before a proposal has gone out.And 2 weeks for it to be reviewned by the same person.

Plus I am dealing with creditors and telling them the proposal should be going out this week etc when its now not the case.

I would not be too worried, it is probably due to volumes of work! ask them when it is likely to be sent to you.

Most insolvency practitioners would quote a period of six to eight weeks from the time they receive a complete set of documents from their clients, so your firm do appear to be on the ball and within that timescale.
