Don't worry about the Court papers Ang, these days the Court are merely a post-box, but they do give you the protection you need from any ongoing hassle from creditors - so the Court is really an important part of the IVA for youm and remember they are on your side and not the side of your creditors.

you know ang i keep thinking just how could i have let us get into such a mess, alls i want out of life is for my famil to be happy, healthy and have a good standard of living - i just love my children and husband so much i have wanted to give them everything - i have been too soft and irresponsible with money - i just think what a failure i am at the moment, got to pick myself up and stop feelin sorry for myself and get on with it

i think like you say its the realisation of seein it in black and white but on a positive note melanie would not be acting for us if she did not think we had a good chance.

thank goodness for this forum to let off steam

sorry for depressing you even more - am here if you want a winge too!

take care

love barb x

no i'm fine, i know we are doing the right thing!! i've decided self pity never did anyone any good!! so its now banned!!

Repeat after me - "Onwards and upwards on our journey to a debt free life. No more feeling sorry for ourselves! we've got our health and our families.. some people don't even have that.. "

onwards and upwards to a debt free life! there done!

i know we are doin the right thing and i know we cannot change the past!

u r right about our health and family which is the most important things, i realised that even more a few weeks ago when our eldest daughter lost her friend suddenly at the age of 17 and now when i think of the girls poor family it puts our problems into perspective!

today was the first day since i have entered this journey that i have felt down and i am sure it is part of the process - but chin up now and soldier on!

hopefully all of this waiting will be over for all of us and we will have a positive outcome - thanks to melanie and her team. at least we will have our own money to pay our bills and feed ourselves and not be living off money that we are borrowing.

i know we have done the hardest part by acknowledging our problem and facing up to them - well done to all of us for that

The waiting is always the worst bit, I've been waiting for nearly a year now for the time to be right to be able to offer a full and final settlement of my IVA. One thing it has taught me though is to be patient and that things happen in their own time. The experience has also contributed to a very philosophical approach to life ... what will be, will be [:)]
