Hi All,

I successfully completed my IVA in July 2011 with a full and final offer two years early.

My credit report is due to be clear in April 2014 but I am possibly looking to get a new mortgage to buy a different house.

To add to the complication of obviously still having nasties on my credit report for another year I am an IT contractor running my own limited company.

I am aware that there are specialists for people out of an IVA wanting a mortgage and specialists for IT contractors, but not sure if there are any people specialising in both!?

Any success stories or just pointers (wait until your report is clear, minimum amount of deposit required etc.) gratefully received but I just wondered if it was possible, or anyone has had success?

Thanks in advance

Dave

Hi Dave. With apologies for being a harbinger of doom ..... I would venture that it will be impossible to secure a mortgage while the IVA is on your file. Even if your record was squeaky clean, being self employed would be a major obstacle in the current lending climate
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
