How about it admin ?? A 2007 annual conference ??

I think that would be great. Imagine being in a room full of people where debt is not something you have to keep to yourself for a change.
Also I have a picture in my minds eye of what everyone looks like and I would like to know just how wrong I am. Everyone on this forum probably knows me better than any friends do.

Just like to introduce myself as a new member of this forum and wish everyone a very successful New Year! Have completed my IVA, but very much wish I had had the kind of support you are giving each other.
The idea of a meeting is most excellent. I guess you are planning to have it in the evening, and I would like to suggest that we could use some of the time to work towards an annual conference as neverending suggests? We could hold it one weekend under canvas in the summer to keep down the costs, and sieze the opportunity of devising some great entertainment to share at minimal cost!
What do you think??

As will more than likely be the same for many, I will not be able to attend anything that far away. The cost would be too high to justify.

Hi everyone..firstly Happy New Year.

I may be away mid Jan early Feb. I have recently met someone who wants to whisk me away somewhere hot and sunny...and pay for it all! I have said no ...it's a pride thing...never had anyone pay for me to do anything really (well except for my creditors lol)...so it's a bit alien. Although it is very tempting after the stress of the IVA towards the end of last year...we shall see!

Anyway I would love to meet people off here..think it is a great idea. I am relatively flexible regarding transport...London is only an hour on the train from me but anywhere south/south west would be ok although i would potentially be able to travel further...I can drive anywhere but as Lee says it depends on cost.

Entertainment...now i can think of a few good things...never mind pin the tail on the donkey....nail the p**s off sign on the creditor LOL.[:D]

Now there's a good idea Neverending! I would be interested in meeting up, obviously depending on time, location etc.

Bluebelle - go for it! I've learned not to be proud - if my partner offers to pay for something I let him! It was pride that got me into this mess (putting things on cards rather than saying I couldn't afford it), so I'm not going to let pride get in the way any longer!

I missed this one - I would like to meet everyone who is is or has been in the same boat as I....London sounds good for me The Mega bus from cardiff to London return is only a £2 if paid well in advance or £12 nearer the date and i know the Mega bus runs to London from all major cities in the uk,,,so how's about it??
