Your credit file will show that you have been in an IVA for 6 years from the start of the IVA.

Most forms will state the relative period ie last 3 years or last 5 years.

Hi Adam

You need to carefully read the question on the form, and answer it absolutely truthfully.

Some forms ask if you have had credit problems within a certain timescale. Others ask "Have you ever...".

An IVA will remain on your credit file for 6 years from the date of its commencement. If they ask you if you have ever been in a voluntary arrangement just be honest and upfront.

You need to answer the specific question that is stated on the form and it is important to be honest about this. After 6 years the IVA will no longer be recorded on your file.
