I agree about the presentation of some professionals. I teach and don't wear a suit so long as I'm smart casual it's fine so I go with it. When I went to my cousins funeral last year he was an Inspector in the Police and the church was filled with Police (I did dare joke to my Mum today's the day for a burglary in ***** as they're all here). Some of them had tattoos on their neck and I found this strange but just thought they could go undercover (plain clothes) and fit in with others and not be looked on suspiciously?

My cousin came into his own funeral to guns and roses sweet child of mine and went out to something similar but I wasn't familiar with that one, it was an original funeral that's for sure. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Some of my teachers used to wear gowns and I was at a lowly comprehensive!

I already have my funeral planned --- coming in to "Spirit in the Sky". Being cremated, so next song will be "I'm on fire" (or maybe "Burnin' love" )followed bt (Call the) Fire Brigade. Everybody has to dress in yellow and orange. And, I was burnt in an accident as a teenager (scars to prove it), so, as I am partly cooked, I want a discount! [:D]

Just had a thought --- wonder if a barbeque would go down well afterwards !!!!

The daughter of a friend of ours, who died of aids at the age of 23, she had 'Things can only get better' played at her funeral!

My hubby has his funeral sorted - cheapest coffin going, straight to the crem, no service and that will be it.

I went to a funeral of a friend recently, loved a laugh, as the curtains closed at the crem the music played was "smoke gets in your eyes"

I went to my uncles funeral a couple of years ago down in Somerset. As the congregation started to leave the crem, they started to play what can only be described as fairground music! I was hard pushed not to start laughing.

We then had to go to what was exactly the same as the receiving line at a wedding - never done that at a funeral before.

They do that at our local crem., which is just down the road from me. They can just pop me on a skateboard and roll me down.
