I used to, but I'm not so bothered now! I have told Dave that I want a 'To My Fiancee' card this year though!

I've now got my engagement ring, so it's now just a case of setting the date. It won't be for a couple of years though to give us time to save.

Yep! We got engaged over New Year and I collected my ring today. There was no big romantic proposal, we just decided it was about time!

skippy when I got engaged it was a similar thing. We decided it was time, ordered it from the catalogue and then went for a meal for him to put it on my finger, that was boxing day.

We used to go play pool with a friend of his and he was always joking things like 'married yet' 'any kids yet' and even 'has he gone down on one knee then'

After about 6 months, haven driven back to DH house after a game, hubby opened car door, got out, and got down on one knee and proposed properly...even though we were aleady engaged. Was quite sweet.

When we picked the ring up today I asked Dave if it was ok for me to wear it, thinking he might want to propose, but he said there wasn't any point in buying it if I'm not going wear it!

I'm just happy that after all this time (13 years!) we're finally engaged!

Even though we never exchange cards, both of us remember our wedding date as we got married on Friday 13th. It was the week after his decree absolute came through (I had already been divorced a number of years).

Glad your ring fits ok Skip!

Thanks Julie!

Jan, it might yet have to go back - when my hands are cold it's very loose, so I'm going to see how it goes over the next few days.

Hope it's ok - you certainly don't want to lose it!
