Whats Valentines Day [:D][:I]

We have never really bothered, neither of us do romantic gestures, & Ive never had flowers yet! Though Ive always told hubby its a sign on a guilt - so he wont buy me any!

I love getting flowers from my friends though x

Unfortunately, we don't either, in fact at the minute we're not even talking so maybe if we have begun talking again by then I might remember what day it is!

We usually do cards, but that's about it. I rarely get flowers, although I keep hinting some would be nice!

You lot!! [:D]

I love Valentine's day and luckily my hubby is an old romantic....nothing expensive needed, a nice meal (cooked by him) and a card with an original poem....flowers are always welcome too [:)]

We used to do cards, and since I make my own theres no excuse. I do draw the straw at DH going throu the box of cards I have made to write it out and give back to me............don't laugh. he's done that for two occasions over the years.

That's classic though Karin, you've made the card and then receive it!

Doghouse he sure is, didn't come in from work until 7.30pm gone to bed already suits me! Sure it'll blow over when I finally get down off my high horse but it'll wait a few days x

Lesley - hope you start talking soon!

We have just never done the romantic stuff - although hubby did take me to the Maldives for my 50th! On the plastic of course!

thanks Jan but sometimes this can continue for weeks, so I won't hold my breath. Daughter and I have a mega time! I've had a pedicure this evening and now catching up on the forum which I know I've neglected the past few days being pre-occupied with work etc., x

Things have ben strained between me and my other half for a few years and as a form of protest? not sure if thats the right word, we didn't one year and haven't since.

She understood why, and we just both ignored the day last year, this year we are away for our aniversary which isn't too long after Valentines so at least i can say we have a holiday so no need. I will do something, cook a meal or not go biking that weekend, guess will wait and see.

I couldn't do weeks Lesley - we've gone a couple of days without speaking but no longer than that.

Hubby usually goes to bed to get out of the way if we've had a row, and if I'm at work the next morning it can be midday before I phone up and actually speak to him.

I don't like going to sleep if we're not talking.
