I think this is the problem with large companies, they only ever give generic replies to things as they told what to say

Im with GT too and since i took on the IVA 3 years ago ive seen their customer service nose dive. As for the completion thing I hear this time and time again. Not good, and sadly it seems to take a post on here for them to take action.
Im praying i can make a F&F next year so i can get them out of my life!
Hope you get this sorted out.

Hi

I just wonder if GT have taken on more than they can effectively deal with. I wonder who is responsible for customer service at GT ?

We have always praised GT on this forum until this last year, the two IPs are genuinely great guys but I wonder if they are aware of the disatisfaction surrounding IVA closures ?

Regards

I can echo the frustrations, it seems like workload issues to me. Up until this year I've had no issues with them to be honest. Everything done as expected. Since my last payment in August though I have literally never heard from them once, unless I've made an enquiry. I expected them to be in touch to let me know I could cancel the payment, explain what should happen next and to organise things like a final review. But unfortunately I've had to make enquiries each and every time to get anything out of them. If I hadnt done this, I doubt I'd of even heard from them at all. But even after contacting them, I get the generic responses and there is no evidence of anything actually happening to my case since final payment made.

I, too, wonder tha same thing.

Up until they took on BE's caseload, all seemed rosy. Then, I feel, the complexity of sorting out BE's work took it's toll. This, of course, was compounded by the VAT and, now, PPI issues.

Finally they purchased Tenon's book and the camel's back has given way!

Even in the good days they weren't the fastest off the blocks when it came to completion, always looking at the 6 months administration period, post final payment, as the average, rather than the maximum, which was one reason I discounted them when choosing the firm to represent me.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Maybe it is just the closures team who are 'lacking'. Maybe customer facing staff are fed up of having to fabricate excuses for this department because the closure team need to pull their fingers out! Closures have no phone contact, yea now tell me something even funnier. They have email but chose not to use it. Karol gets it in the neck because she is the only person at GT who responds to requests, but there has to be a limit to her remit and I am sure slightly dwindling patients.
I am having no problems with communication to GT but unless something happens as I get closer to finishing this IVA I am worried that this problem at GT will get far worse before it gets better.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

I must admit that, despite my initial misgivings, GT are doing well with me so far. Very fast response to emails and on the ball with requests for review paperwork.

As you say, it could just be the closures team. I wonder what takes so long to review? Are the annual reviews just a sham and they have to re-do the whole lot ?

Karol has been on the forum today - so perhaps Admin could rename this post to bring it to her specific attention.

Hi Melanie
Good idea, but first we must check with markiboy as this is his thread.

I still say we go to the press - that will hurt them - anyone any experience with this? There are enough people here being hard done by by GT and their failure to close IVAs - i say we construct something and make it public
