Good morning,

We all know that there will be days like this but you cannot let this get to you and ruin your weekend. You are already in the process of sorting your financial situation and this painful process unfortunately is inevitable.

Please believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it.

Have a great weekend.

Julia

Hi Kerri

I would complain about this company synergi and if they do call round you can tell them what you have done, I doubt if they will though, surely they are applying the ultimate creditor tactics, and them knowing your situation are just trying to kick you even more, as if they hadnt already. Its appauling and makes me angry for you.

I wouldnt pay, what have you got to compare these costs with? Its a rip off.

Oh I must have read it wrong. I have had a few, quite a nasty one from HSBC but I am told its just a threat and they dont do it.

Its scary to read, dont you just feel like shouting, I know I owe and am trying, do you have to screw up every day? I wake up scared and go to bed still scared, what more do you want?

Just reading through your comments and it just makes me so angry remembering wat i went through with them creditors. Wen my iva had been accepted one of them continued to hound me (PDL PayDay Loan Company - have u heard of them, they are hell). They kept sending me threatening letters and despite me writing back to them each time to say that my iva had been accepted they then sent me a letter saying the bailifs will be around. My mum contacted PDL for me and said that if I ever received another letter from them i would sew them for harrassment - i have never heard from them since that call.

Dominic, would be interesting to see if these calls/letters from creditors could be seen as harrassment in the eyes of the law...
Last payment made on 1st Nov 2011. Happy to be debt free!

Hi Kerri,

I had countless letters sent to me from debt collectors say that i had to make full payments or else, i was still getting them from max recovery after the IVA had been approved i too told them if they continue then i will seek advice as this was harassment.

They said that their system had not been updated and they would correct it 3 days later both myself and husband recieved another 2 letters. I am just wonndering if their use recycle paper.

52 payments to go

I had constant calls up to fourteen in a day from one creditor in the end I looked up the telecommunications act and told them that their calls were harrassment and causing anxiety and distress and that they were not allowed to do it , I explained that I was not running away from the phone and that I was giving them all the information that they needed, sometimes they would not speak, would cut me off in mid sentence and then ring up twenty minutes later. So every time they rang me I rang their customer services and complained back, one woman said I can assure you we are not doing anything illegal, I told her I beg to differ and that the act of 1984 said constant calls which cause distress and upset are illegal after doing this a few times, apart from making me feel better the calls stopped and I have not heard from them since. I had put up with this constant calling for about two weeks and answered the phone to them every time, I would not have minded if they had rung once a day but it had become ridiculous.
I dont know if I was correct but it worked.

kez, aquise gave good advice. Gee, I am sorry I did not think of the telecommumicationa act myself. Disconnect your telephone that way you will not hear it ring. To my surprise they can and do ring you on a Sunday. When I asked one debt collector what was he doing contacting me on a Sunday he replied,'' I am doing overtime.'' So, I said,'' Well, get over it,'' and clicked the telephone off.

As for the utilities they are on the increase( deep sigh). No way out of that increase unless you diligently turn off lights and turn off the telly(no standby)etc. Mine increased by £15 a month 2 months ago. Direct debit was £30 a month, now £45 a month.

Gosh, are we supposed to use candles???

Take care my sister-in-debt.
