I am almost there, I am waiting for the venue to confirm 1 or 2 minor details but the lady that I have been dealing with seems to be away.

Watch this space however.

I'm a little concerned we've not heard anything but I do realise that it's out of Size 5's hands. For me to book a cheap Travelodge is the key here and I can't do this until I know this is definitely going ahead. Sadly the later we leave it, the less likelihood I have of being able to attend. Are we hoping for some news this week re this? or have I missed the post? I realise there will probably be an offer of a reduced rate hotel for say £40 or £50 but sadly that is way out of my budget, it has to be £9.00 if poss or £19.00 max Travelodge room for us.

Right, all done now.

We have confirmed with the venue for Saturday 18th July. We can have either a designated meeting room, or we could take up some tables in the restaurant/bar area. If anyone has any preferences then please let me know. I'm easy either way.

We are meeting at the Campanile on Salford/Manchester border, see www.campanile-manchester-salford.co.uk

There is a discounted rate for our guests if they wish to stay over at the venue on the night of £40, but of course, like Lesley above, if it is easier to stay elsewhere then you are all still very welcome. If you are coming then could you book directly yourself, mentioning the IVA.CO.UK meeting, or you could ask for Ericka. I have provisionally reserved the right number of rooms for those who have e mailed me previously indicating that they wish to attend.

I would say that we would probably look at a 7 30 for 8 type arrangement and there will also be a buffet for us, and hopefully either a free or subsidised bar.

If anyone has any problems then you can e mail me direct, my details are in the experts section on the left, but other than that I hope as many as possible of you can come along and get to meet some of your fellow posters and put some faces to names. The more the merrier I say, and you are all very welcome.

Regards.

I think it will depend on the amount who actually go. If there are a lot, then a meeting room might be preferable. Otherwise a few tables would probably be better.

Does the price for the hotel include breakfast?

I'm looking forward to putting faces to names. I have an image of people af how they will look but doubt any of them are right. Some people i thought were men are women. Certain names you can tell who is a man etc but some names you think is that a man or woman? But the ones who are on here regular I have a vision in my mind on hope they look so it will be funny to see if my visions are right or not.[:D]

I do, unfortunately.

Wonder, could you possibly just drop me a quick e mail so that I can compile a list of names, even if you are not staying over?

Regards.
