does anyone know, or have experience, of being eligible for legal aid help whilst in an IVA?

in theory, one would fit the criteria since it's clear all 'spare' cash is taken in the IVA.....but in practice?

Are you saying you need legal aid to fight some litigation Ricky? Legal Aid is only available for certain types of proceedings - ususally matrimonial, or family?

Melanie

A quick question - I will shortly be applying for a divorce, would I be entitled to Legal Aid whilst under an IVA?

Possibly - depending upon your income. Legal Aid is assessed on income bands, and not disposable income, but your solicitor ought to be able to advise on this point.
