Hi All, few set backs today (typical) I thought I would look ahead and open up a different bank account and chose Halifax. No one told me I had to put £100 in to open it! Like I have that kind of money, wondering how to find 100 asap. I have already arrqanged both of our wages to go into the account at the end of the month but I am between jobs at the mo so will recieve 2 weeks from the previous employer and 2 weeks from the new! very confusing times. I need to obviously set up all the direct debits to come out on the 1st, this may take some more time. I have been on holiday from work for 2 weeks and have spend 99.9% of my time on the subject of debt, which has given me the worst headaches I have ever had :(
On a positive my proposal came through this morning from Andrew and so far it looks ok - think with the cost of food I may have to up my shopping costs. Once I send all this off I will ahve my first payment out on the 01st Aug then they will start to contact my creditors. Very nervous. Any way that's me done so I will speak to you all soon x x
When will this all end?

Good luck loubylou, It may seem stressful now but I'm sure it will only get better when it is all sorted for you. Hang in there. X

Hi loubylou, has your IP told you to stop paying anything to your creditors, if so, can you use the money you would normally use to pay your debts, to open your account? Forgive me if I've missed something about your situation, but this is what most of us had to do when we started out. good luck with your meeting, fingers crossed [:)]

Do you know what, even though we are all going through this and I must agree with you I actually have 8.82 in my purse till payday! I still do feel really positive about the next couple of months. I have admitted I have debt, I have contacted an IP and I have now agreed a suitable amount to pay back each month. So all in all a big pat on my back. Believe me if anyone who is new to the site reads this, I had my head so far in the sand I was talking to the Auzzie's I never would admit this debt and really wish I had done something like this a year ago. I have to go pick my son up from nursery soon and I dread the nursery manager being in coz I too owe them about 4 weeks now!! I am desperate to post positive stuff, maybe give me 4 weeks.[xx(]

Hi Loubylou

I do feel for you, try and hang in there I know it is difficult and the end seems a long way away but you will get there. Take comfort from the forum and ask for all the support you need.

Loubylou, it may all be doom and gloom now, and not knowing which way to turn, but it WILL get better - honestly!

Just hang on in there! We're all here for you.

Big hug coming your way.

These posts have really hit home to me what it is like to be in debt and how awful it must be sometimes when a lack of funds stops you from even going out of the house. OK we all have times when we haven't got any money - for me the other evening I filled up with petrol then realised I had left my handbag in work. Had to get hubbie to come and bring me money - he was a happy chappie (not!) and I felt a complete muppet, but there was a means to getting the money.

I feel quite humbled by this thread, and sometimes people like me need a reality check to remember that this is not just a day's work for us, it is real lives for most of you. The very fact that you remain cheerful, and can even make a joke out of most things, shows great grit and spirit, and I wish every one of you the very best of luck with whatever debt solution you choose to follow.

Melanie - thank you so much for your kind words - today was a bad day for me but my wonderful mother in law has given me some money towards my nursery and my partner has just sold one of his golf clubs for £100 to get the money into our new account (he is a wonderful man) I have decided that crying does not solve anything and from now on will not shed a tear over this. I have a wonderful partner of 12 years and a beautiful son who I live for also a very supportive family. I will get through this and with all this fantastic support and help I really feel I can sort my life out. As i am emotional today I feel the need to really thank you all from the bottom of my hart for this site and your guidence.

Much love x x x

Thanks Melanie for understanding what it is like.
Although I have been joking a bit about having £50 left this month after everything is paid I worry deeply as my father and husband are both ill and where will I get the money for the petrol to visit my dad or take my husband to hospital if I need to. What would I do if the cats need the vets. or like last month my husband left the freezer door open and freezer full of food defrosted it had taken me some time to get a stock of food and now I am having to start form the beginning again.

Sorry I don't want to sound miserable but this is the reality.
