I have made another attempt at a full and final settlement, we have some PPI sitting there so we made another offer, with a gift from elsewhere. I contacted them as the PPI was from Lloyds from historic loans 20 years ago, I was told apparently as Lloyds is in my IVA creditors, that the money would have to go to my lloyds debts even though they are 20 years ago, something I was a little annoyed about, I thought PPI claims went against the loans/cards they were on paid to those in your IVA, and anything else historic you had back, but obviously not. I do wonder if they really don't want you to settle, as you seem to come up against something every time, from long waits on calls, no updates etc, I am waiting for a call from the PPI department, 48 hours is up tomorrow morning so we shall see if I get a phone call, if I don't I shall be the phone again - hopefully get through in under 45 mins (I am setting a time to beat!) Also does anyone know if there is an ombudsman you can go to if you think that you are unfairly treated?

To make a complaint you must first exhaust your firm's in house complaints procedure. If that fails you need to go to their regulators here:

My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Have just received a call from Samantha, we now have a date for our F&F meeting 28March (fingers and everything else crossed). They are a bit slow in returning calls, but can honestly say if you e mail every couple days they do get back to you. Good luck with your F&F

Just received my call back from Samantha! My creditor meeting date is the 10th march, so it's literally 30 working days after the signed variation report is received! Not waiting 30 days and then awaiting a meeting date after that like I thought it was! Nerves kicking in a bit! Good luck to everyone! Emailing certainly works so long as you get an automated reponse! Wonder where the rest of my emails have been going! Haha keep us updated with your processes though! :-)

Hi Charlee, sometimes it pays to be impatient glad you got your date good luck for the 10th fingers crossed for you please let us know how you get on.

KTC14 the direct email address for Sarah is in her link on ask the experts a question.
Good luck, have found Sarah and Samantha really helpful if you keep getting in touch, they are busy but we all just want an end to this. I agree I would have not entered into an IVA if I had thought everything out properly but at the time was panicking and it seemed the right thing to do. If nothing else I have learnt a few lessons from this process.

Let us know how you get on

I'm exactly the same welsh wiz! Totally regret the fast acting panic phase that lead me to the Iva! I would have been better off stayin on the debt management plan! But Sarah and Samantha have been very helpful during this very stressful part of hopefully the end of this journey! Lessons learnt and all that! Fingers toes legs and arms firmly crossed! Just a waiting game now! I'm glad I've managed to speak to Samantha though and got answers to my questions! Just hoping it all goes ok from now on in! X

thanks for that welshwiz - this whole IVA has been a nightmare for us, we run a business too, and it has had massive effects on that, we are paying over the odds for stuff as My husband is a director and as this is on his record, they see it as a negative and a red flag - hence why we want shot of it! I might be able to get some discounts then!! let me know how you both get on :)
