IVA approved but with modifications. An increased payment each month and 12 extra months.

Glad your meeting went ok.
I had modifications and a 12 mth extension too!
Started IVA 27th Feb 2012 - Due to complete 27th Jan 2018 !!
Full & Final submitted and accepted 30th March 2015, paid 10th April 2015 - 3 yrs 1 month into IVA
Completion Certificate received- 30th April 2015!!

Make sure you can afford the increase in payments. There is no point agreeing to the modification if you are going to struggle from the outset.

Creditors will usually instigate increases in payments where expenditure exceeds the maximum CCCS guidelines, and cannot be fully justified. Even when it is fully justified, they can often take a moralistic view.
And I am working on that 12 months issue anap, as I feel that bit is unfair. Hope to hear more tomorrow

The increase is about 9%. Creditors are Barclaycard and Nationwide (they wanted the 12 extra months), Lloyds and Shop Direct (they wanted the extra payments), Virgin Money and Next (they were presumably OK with it!).
