And me, they were fantastic throughout even wishing me good luck when I called to discuss my account at the time of my Bankruptcy

I can't complain about them either.

Watchdog did a survey on bank customer service a couple of weeks ago and I think the Co-op came top.

I have found them brilliant and wish I had switched years ago.
The internet banking is so easy to use, telephone staff helpfull and I get statements fortnightly which is great.

Only have good things to say about them, but just wish they had more branches
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

Thank you andy for highlighting my blog.

emma, it is a shame they don't have more branches, though I suppose most banking dealings for people in an IVA or BR are money-in & money-out, and both can be done over the Post Office counter. Cash is credited instantly, cheques will take an extra day to credit but do go securely to their processing centre.

I've certainly had a better customer service experience in 3 months with the co-op than I did in 11 years with HSBC!!

I would just like to say I am very impressed with Co-op. We have a cashminder account and it was set up with no fuss at all for both me and hubby. First Class!

i was with HSBC and whenever i wanted help or anything it was always were sorry but we can't help you and RIPPED!! me off with nasty bank charges and the queues in there branches always went out the door where they only had 1 person on the till.
Im with the Co-Op and they are fantastic , excellent customer service always helpful and top notch easy internet banking, i should have gone with them years ago.

We have our bank account with co-op also. I explained about our impending BR and the girl who dealt with us was brilliant. She rang us personally to let us know that our account had been accepted, it had initially referred, which I though was very good customer service. Keep it up co-op, your doing a marvellous job for all of us who bank with you!!!!
It's nice to be back......

We have been recommending the COOP cashminder account as standard for a few months now as it is fine and offered to folks in an IVA or Bankruptcy.
offers Visa Electron, Internet & telephone banking, direct debit & standing orders.

Highly recommended!

They are great! I applied for a cashminder account which was referred, then declined I then appealed and it was accepted!
They have been great and always give class customer service [:)]
