Boat Race, Can't believe my licence fee money goes into televising that twaddle. Apart from a few oxbridge hoorray henrys, does the rest of the nation care about this pointless race, I think not.

I've been to the races a few times and I've really enjoyed it, especially the time I won enough to pay for my day out!

I agree about the BBC televising the boat race, especially as they are talking about dropping the F1 - the only good side of that would be if Sky Sports showed it instead as they actually know how to cover a sporting event!

I've been to very few live sporting events, but the things I'd like to do are Glorious Goodwood, a cricket match and a F1 Grand Prix (any one, not fussed!). One day...

Can i be a party pooper? F1 grand prix anyone? Is it just me or is motor sport so boring, just dont get it. The drivers have zero personality, i could drive fast with nobody coming the other way for a million quid a race

Sorry Carole but I hate horse racing, in particular the Grand National - I think it is cruel.

As to the boat race, I really don't care.

Don't give a monkeys about the F1 either!

I do like the motor cycle racing though.

My daughter is on the Oxbridge list at school so I'll remind not to join the rowing if she's successful! Nah seriously she's on the list but doesn't want to go, we can't afford it!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I actually wish that the BBC would drop all sport as they have absolutely no idea on how to cover it properly, unlike Sky. Last year during one of the early morning F1 races they switched coverage to BB2 halfway through the race. I wrote to complain and they couldn't see what the problem was as they'd announced during the race that this was happening - er the problem was I had Sky+'d it and missed the end!

I agree. I’m very disappointed with BBC losing the rights to broadcast the masters. Sky got the rights with little or no fight from the Beeb which is annoying because I dont have Sky Sports! That said, the BBC viewed the masters as a little cushy break for its execs! At least Sky do a good job!

Regarding horseracing trainers and owners look after them better than a lot of people who have kids.if you see a racehorse there coats are imaculate.horses like dogs love running and jumping.horseracing is a multi billion pound business for this country and is strictly monitored.it provides a wealth of employment/and enjoyment to millions.and most stables have open days which is a good day out aswell.its a british business/sport that we do well with massive investments.

The only sport we watch on BBC is the Motogp as for some reason Eurosport don't show it live.

Glad the BBC still have the 6 nations RU, can't get sky or virgin and certainly can't afford the £500 thomas cook sport were charging for 2 people to see one of the home games.

That's a stupid price!

Hubby watches the rugby if I'm not at home and he does watch the snooker if it's on BBC but that's about all.
