Like a few people who are unsure whether or not to register on the forum for fear of not knowing what to ask/say, I have spent the last few weeks reading different posts and articles on this forum, having found myself in a financial mess and applying for an IVA.
I had my meeting last thursday and was lucky enough to have it accepted. To share my situation; I was approx £63k in debt and applied for an IVA through Money Debt & Credit. My main creditors were Nat West 27K, Egg £16K and Virgin 8K and the proposal was for a monthly payment of £377. Fortunately all creditors voted yes with only minor modifications that did not change my premium.

I just wanted to thank all of you on the forum who post lots of helpful information and support for people like us who really don't know where to turn. I wish I had found this Forum many months ago as it has been so encouraging to read other stories. I would particulary like to thank Melanie for the advice she gives and the number of times her answers have stopped me worrying or having to phone people to check on progress.

I hope this post will encourage other people to try to get themselves out of their own situation and not be put off by the fear of rejection as I so nearly was. All I need now is for Liverpool to start winning again......Melanie, you don't fancy Rafa's job do you?!

Thanks again to you all. Keep up the good work.

Its a shame this forum couldnt get a grant to produce a leaflet that was handed out in all citizens Advice Bureaus directing people with serious debt problems to the site.
So many people stumble across the forum and wished they had found it months or even years ago and have missed out from its valuable help and advice!

HI Tjunction,
Congratulations on having your IVA accepted!
There have been a lot of posts stating that people wish they had found this forum earlier, I can only agree!
Jpj makes a great point about passing on info to the CAB, I stumbled upon the site by googling IVA forum!
Could this be done Andie?
Lots of luck for the future Tjunction.

Excellent, well done.

Think Rafa has bought himself a little longer with last nights result though.
