This may sound daft but I believe that Harry was sent to me. His details were posted on a local charity website back in December and I fell in love with him from day 1. As much as I begged Dave to let me have him he wouldn't and I used to check on the website every day to make sure he was still there (sad I know!).

When we had a home visit last month I told the assessor that I wanted to see Harry, and she said that someone else had already said they wanted him the same day. I was upset, but thought at least he's getting a home and tried to make an appointment to see our second choice cat but couldn't get through. About an hour later the phone rang and it was the assessor saying that the other person had changed their mind and didn't want him! I was straight on the phone making the appointment to see him and spent the next few days worried that someone else might go first and want him!

When we got there Harry walked over to me and sat by my feet while I stroked him and I knew he was 'the one' straight away!

Yeah, the old saying... dogs have owners...cats have staff is definately true in our house. If she wants to sit on the doorstep she puts one paw in and one paw out so you have to sit there with her... until she's ready to come in! Nia sleeps on top of my tummy every night and if I move she miaows and gives me THAT look. [:)]

Aren't we all soft? I do think that our little ones should have all the attention they need, they are special. It's not like with children, teaching them right or wrong, cats are always right. In my little cat book it says..."thousand of years ago cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotton this. v.w X

Harry isn't allowed in the bedroom at night - when we let him he bit Dave's feet every time he moved and none of us were getting any sleep!

We don't have a problem with him going in the bedroom but he's only allowed in when we are there - the bedroom comes off the hall and we don't want him getting out of the front door.

When I was young and at home my cat would suck my earlobe! I guess she thought she was still a kitten and I was her mam..... Then we had her spayed and she grew to the size of a jack russel and used to chase all the dogs in the area!!! The funniest thing I've ever seen was that cat chasing a huge alsation down the road, the dog was petrified and had it's tail tucked right underneath it!!! I nearly wet myself laughing.....
It's nice to be back......

oh isn't that lovely. I actually named her after a dolphin a swam with when I was younger. That name is perfect though, you should definately adopt more kittens. When I'm really old I want to have forty of them and be known as the crazy cat woman! thanks for the info. That was lovely if you. X
