Hi everyone, am a new member but have been using this site as point of reference in thinking about my IVA, during the process of setting it up and now whilst it is up and running! It has been invaluable.

I just wanted to say a big big thank you to Julia Simavi at Thomas Charles (worth every penny of the two extra payments) who reassured me every step of the way when I was at my wits end and also Charlene Kendall who works with Jane Finch at Accuma who was also very reassuring. Both organisations offered top class service and communication was excellent. There were never any unanswered phone calls or text messages which in this day and age is very much a rareity! I am now two payments in and although it's not an easy ride with two kids to clothe etc (especially when you have an 11 year old who seems to grow by 2 inches a day), my husband and I now have some light at the end of a very dark and gloomy tunnel.
For anyone who is reading this, yes the phone calls whilst you are going through the IVA set-up process are stressful but if you have caller ID like we had - just don't answer them if you don't recognise the number!!
Again, thank you very much to all at Thomas Charles and Accuma who helped us in this first stage of our journey to a debt-free life. [:)]

Thank you for your comments.It,s great to read of cases that go well from start to finish[creditors acceptance].This forum is for the good and the not so good experiences and hopefully as time goes on we will hear more and more positive comments.

I used exactly the same companies but a couple of different people and like you cant speak highly enough of these two companies. I have just been approved and start paying in July. If anyone here is thinking of going down the IVA route then you cant go far wrong with these two companies.
My people were:
Ann Marie Woodhall @ Thomas Charles
Jane Finch and Colin Forrest @ Accuma
With there being so many IVA sharks out there its great to see that there are companies you can trust and who do everything they can to help you along the IVA path which as we know is a stressfull and worrying time.

Dear Adam
Yes I was very wary of using a company that asked for some money especially when there were so many adverts on tv from other companies saying that they could do it for free. However, I did my research and Thomas Charles name came up again and again for being a really good firm to use. Their website was my first port of call and after emailing Julia to tell her of my woes, she phoned me back within ½ hour to discuss things further. I didn't feel pressured at all but just reassured and also that I wasn't the only stupid idiot that had got herself into a right old mess!
Accuma were the same and I now have my own contact there who I can phone for advice if needed (Phil).
Again 5 stars for Thomas Charles and Accuma.
