As I recently posted on another thread that I had made my last payment in January and I thought that I would update you all.
Today I got home to an envelope containing my certificate of completion. Just one month after making my last payment. I am very happy about this, but there is an element of disbelief. Is this really and truly the end of my debt? Am I really free of this burden?
The covering letter suggests contacting the credit file companies and advising them that my iva is complete. How many are there?
Lastly thank you to you all for answering my questions and giving support through my journey. I just wish I found this forum right at the start.[:D]
Well done, what a lovely feeling it must be. Hopefully it will be me around this time next year. Nice to hear Payplan moved so quickly well done to them.
Enjoy your debt free future.
payplan have been doing cc's really quickly for past few months.mine was last payment on October 28th and got cc sorted by 23rd December.a few others have been pretty fast too.well done payplan.

Great News you have got your COC after just one month. I made my last payment to Payplan in June last year and im still waiting despite numerous requests. My IVA started in June 2007 so maybe i may be lucky before the 7th year starts and finally come home to my COC but im not holding my breath just about given up .
That seems a very long time to have to wait todd71 I really cannot understand why completion certificates can take so long. Surely there should be some sort of timescale that applies.
Hope you get it soon. I think I would lodge a complaint that might help.
Yes Country Girl i agree they should be able to give you a timescale however with Payplan they insist that they are unable to do so and they make that point quite clear when you do ask. I have spoken to many of case officers and a few managers when i did complain who all sing off the same sheet or the office excuse to callers book i think!!!
That's not good Todd71. They told me 3 to 6 months, so I wasn't expecting the COC at all for some time.
I think I have been lucky in my Case Officer though.
I personally can't fault the service I have received.
Yes country girl I had the extra year in lieu of equity that made my last payment in june 2013 then we had the ongoing ppi issues as well that I complied fully with over the last three years of the iva still no coc even though payplan carried out a mass variation exercise over the issue in november 2012 and I've been told all ppi issues have been completed. I am just going round in circles at the moment unable to move forward.
Hi, Todd. There really are large inconsistencies regarding timescales to receive a completion certificate. My IVA with PayPlan also started in June 2007 and I made my final payment on 1 June last year after a 12 month extension in lieu of equity. I received my CC just before Christmas. There are still ongoing PPI issues as I get the occasional letter from EIF concerning it, and the mass variation allowed IVA’s to be completed with ongoing PPI issues. I rang PayPlan frequently to chase mine up to the extent that they treated my contact as a complaint and I received my CC a few weeks later. It shouldn’t be this way, but my advice is to keep badgering them.
