Greetings....long time no post!

We are nearly 6 months into our IVA and it is going pretty well so far. (although, we like everyone have noticed increases in childcare, fuel, food, utility bills, school dinners etc so don't have much leeway each month)

Wanted to tell those of you who don't know that Tesco Clubcard Vouchers have just paid for us a weeks holiday in August in a top caravan at a Haven campsite!

Now whether you love or hate Tesco.....I have to say a "free" holiday is great for those of us in an IVA! (We did save the vouchers for 18 months)

It will certainly boost our moral (and the kids will love it) and we plan to start saving the next lot for next year!

Regards
Blue

Something else I also noticed about these when I got my last statement, they are now offering to save all of your vouchers until Christmas.
Sounds like quite a good idea.

Well done you Blue shoes (and tesco!) and glad its going well for you so far!

Have to say I save mine up all through the year and then spend them all on nice wine at Christmas but if you use them on other things they can be worth up to 4 times as much!

The best bit with Tesco is all the little extra bits you can do to bump up your points:-

1. Shopping (obviously)
2. Take advantage of the "extra" points if they apply to you and you will use them
3. Join the various clubs - baby/wine/healthy living/ etc
4. Take your own bags shopping for green points (always use more bags than you really need)
5. Send off your old mobile phone/empty inkjet cartridges to be recycled
6. Switch to Eon online and get points for every £1 you spend on gas and electric
7. There are also loads of others listed on their clubcard statement as well that you can benefit from
8. Petrol (forgot that one!)

Just as an indication of how these can all add up hubby and I just received £23 in vouchers this quarter. There is just the 2 of us and we have a £200 budget for food & housekeeping and £120 for petrol

Lou x

I think Tesco are great. I get regular "bonus" coupons at the checkout giving me 150 bonus "Clubcard" points for when I next do a £10 Mobile Top-Up. That is basically £1.50 off!!! Hooray for Tesco!!
And I think they should rename their "Value" brand as the "IVA" brand - they really are a life-saver at the end of the month when money is tight!!!
47 months completed - 13 months to go.

I collect Nectar points at Sainsburys and BP. I must admit I prefer these as you can use them at any time (once you reach a certain amount) and don't have to wait until the vouchers come through.
