It is imposssible for a well prepared IVA to fail as the creditors are under pressure to accept.(17p to the pound payback is the record recorded here...very lucky). Their breathens higher up in the foodchain have lost millions and billions in their reckless stock market crunch gamble on debt. And a day doesn't go by without something going irkesome in the money markets.

In such climate of darn right 'debt fatigue' creditors are just as frightening as monkeys with a pea shooter....they have lost the plot and the moral authority of prudent investment and spending...so how bad can anyone be on an IVA proposal....

I know the feelings well littleted, it is such a worrying time and your emotions are all over the place.
I felt so sick on the day, I really thought I was going to throw up with the worry. On top of that I was meeting my brand new boss for the first time for lunch.
Luckily just before I met him I had the call to say my iva had been accepted and I was shaking and had a few tears, then had to compose myself for the lunch.

There is really nothing I can say to make it easier for you, but do try to remember that around 90% of all proposed ivas are accepted so the chances are very high.

Look after yourself and everything crossed for you on Friday

EmmaT that is so true, opening the shop and acting like nothing is going on, when all you want to do is hide under the duvet! The support on this forum is amazing and saw my IP today who I do have faith in, it's just the up hill struggle that gets me feeling so rubbish and to continue trading when a job seems the easier option- although I know it's not for me. Thanks guys xxx

I know the feeling well ... I've had a day like that ... just when everything seemed to be going so well! I'm trying to refuse to do tears though ... having been in the situation this week where I have conducted a funeral service for 17 AND a 32 year old AND a 104 year old this week [:(]

Hope all goes well for Friday ... fingers, toes and everything crossed for you ... looks like my creditors meeting on 21st will nor be a complete waste of time [:(]

Debbie
I really do admire you for the job you do, it must be so hard emotionally on you.

I am such a softie I would probably cry more than the relatives and would never cope with people who have lost loved ones in tragic circumstances.

I will be on tender hooks on Monday with you xx

Hi Emma ... my role is to hold it together for the family who can't! But I have to say that with my 104 year old we played the opening song from "The Sound Of Music" at the end of the service ... and I had to stifle a few tears ... has anyone actually listened to the words of that song ... they are just so beautiful!

You sound very much like my best friend, Debbie. She always wanted to work in a funeral parlour. I thought she was very weird until she explained that it is the last thing that is done for a person and if she could do that well she would have job satisfaction. She never did get that job, she now works on a ENT ward in our local hospital, nursing and caring for sometimes terminally ill people and she loves it. I honestly don't think I'm a strong enough person for that, I would be so emotionally drained.
My admiration goes out to people like yourself, you are very, very special.
xx

Thanks for your kind words Chris ... and everyone else ... but I never can understand when people thank me for taking the funeral service for their loved one ... as the honour and the privilege is always all mine.

Hi,
littleted what time is your meeting?
"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it."
