We have just started the IVA process (im sending forms back to Melanie today) and as advised have changed where our money goes into however we have had to take cash out from our old account and put into our new account as this would have had to be used to pay our rent... My partners wages used to go in and clear up the overdraft then the rent went out and we were back into it if that makes sense.

Obviously this has caused us to go further into the agreed overdraft on that account , is this going to be frowned upon as this account is with one of our main creditors.. and we are no longer paying anything into this account.

ASm worried as dont want to alienate our creditor before they recieve our proposal etc

any advice much appreciated

Tanya

We did much the same and forecasted that in our figures, we were fine. I suggest you speak with Melanies office just to clarify the situation with them.
"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it."

Hi Tanya

I had much the same situation as yours as had to draw cash out going over my overdraft to put into my new account as needed this amount to live off for that month.
It did not stop hsbc voting yes for my iva.

If you are worried give Melanies office a call and they will clarify for you[:)]

Well done for taking the first steps, you will feel better now you are taking some action andealing with things I am sure xx
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Hi Tanya,we have just begun our journey too,and we are also with Melanie. We had to do similar as both of our wages didn't even get us out of our overdraught each month! We gave Melanie our overdraught details as we had to draw out the money to be able to live off of it for the coming month.Any doubts do as Emma t advises and give the office a ring.Best of luck xxx

I have no problem with what you have done - as you do need to live for the next month or so.
