Oh bless you Hun, not a good experience on your first visit. You don't have to have work done if you don't want too. I think we tend to feel like we have to because they say so. I would be the same if they mentioned the words root canal, I would be out like a shot!
The government are no longer making nhs dentists work towards "drill & fill targets" & changing it to individual care targets. I thought that was quite interesting as my dentist has always been trying to take all my fillings out & replace them for years! Also they are talking about giving patients the right to have nhs treatment with your current Dentist, rather than having to change to a different one. Another point I found interesting because my last dentist was really nice, but He went private.
I still think you did really well Hun & I'm still really proud of you, it not easy to do when you have such a fear of dentists. Just getting in the chair is traumatic enough, so you got over a good few hurdles their Lesley. What you could do is book a app with the private one & compare what he says in comparison to the nhs dentist x

& my friend moved their a long time ago & it will be my first visit! So everyone is excited! I miss her loads & she always comes n stays n visits when through to visit family etc, it's just a shame I can't do the same in return, but she's fab & knows everything regarding the Iva & is totally supportive of us. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
