Well, we finally decided burying our heads in the sand was no longer a good idea, and plucked up the courage to submit a form to Melanie's website.
Had a long, detailed chat with Tina today, who was absolutely great, and although we are still feeling worried about whether we are taking the right course of action, felt relieved by much of what she had to say.
Keep your fingers crossed that we sort ourselves out, and the IVA is approved. Still early days.
Thanks
Helen

Hi Helen
I know exactly what you mean about burying your heads in the sand thats what my hubby used to say to me, you reach a point where you know things cannot continue without heading into trouble. All the very best to you hope all goes well and keep us informed as to how things are going. Melanie is a great ip and will do her best for you and thats the most important part a good ip and proposal,

Ang

Thanks Lula, will keep you posted! It is a daunting time, and we feel a mixture of shame and relief, which I guess everyone does.
Shame for getting into the mess in the first place, and relief that we are admitting to the problem, and taking some steps to sorting it out (hopefully)
Thanks again for your support.

Helen

Your in good hands with Melanie

So no need to worry, just relax and let the proposal get drawn up.

And if you get any phone calls asking for payment tell them politely your proposing an IVA and give them the address of the IP

Hi Helen,

Like the others have already stated you are in great hands with Melanie and her team. I know that if they had any doubts about your case they would have already made you aware.

Now that you are doing something about your debt situation there is no reason to feel guilty or shameful anymore - Chin up, your on the road to recovery [:D]
