Well, we have found out that our son has been given his 1st place choise for primary school in September.

To say I am over the moon would be an understatement [:D]

We live in an area of Norfolk that is ok, but after visting all the schools in the area there was NO way that I would send a dog to any of them let alone my child.

Our son attends a nursery in Suffolk which is 20 miles away as that is where my Husbands business, so we decided to apply for a school there as the one we visted was just wonderful. We have been so nervous for the past 4 months waiting, as we were thinking that worse case scenario was we would have to sell and move which would be nigh on impossible with my IVA.

Well, a lot of crossing fingers and positive thinking and we got offered a place, so no need to move house and he gets to go to a fantastic school.

Sorry for the waffling, but I am so happy and just want to say that IVA's are tough but be positive and things will be ok [:)]

Great News Gert --- I know how you feel -- His Lordship got his ( our) first choice last year .. I think the school might be wishing he'd gone elsewhere now though !!! <<kidding>>

My IP agreed to add school dinners to my allowance and a fiver a month to put by for school outings. Tesco is great for basic uniform, especially when they have online offers.

Fab news SuperGert. We find out Monday, it must have been one of the most difficult decisions we have had to make! Our nearest school isn't the best so we have applied to one a couple of miles away. We visited it and it was by far the nicest and has a good ofsted so fingers crossed!

I am pleased for you and know how much a good education can give such a good start within life.

My granddaughter is only 8 but next year we'll be starting on practice 11+ papers as I want her to walk in the footsteps of her Aunt who starts uni this year.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Good luck Anna nad fingers crossed for you. Let us know how you get on.

Don't worry about it being a couple of miles away as the school our son is going to is 20 miles away from our house [:0] We are not mad as it is only 2 mins drive round the corner from my husbands business [:D]

The thing that is driving me nuts is that his school uniform is a dark brown jumper and the likes of Tesco, Asda etc only sell Black, Red, Green and Blue!

Oh well, got 4 months to keep an eye on eBay [:)]

well he got the place!! We are so pleased. I could hardly make sense of the email as i was so nervous and have to get a work colleague to read it for me! I can't wait to take him and show him round. Think i'll start saving now for the uniform, although i think its red so hopefully it wont be too bad.
