Hi, it never rains but pours. we got word last night that my son's uni house had been burgled. horrible . they've taken his laptop,his camera(he pooled his 21st birthday money to buy that)which had photos on for his work as well as my other sons passing out parade pictures on[:(],they too his hard drive with work on,we're not sure what else at this point. he said each year about 3/4 uni student house are done over,obviously people knowing which houses to target.

I just sobbed my heart out for a while,we've got enough on our plate at the moment and now we'll have excess to pay. thank goodness we got him covered though.&i'm grateful no one was staying there at the time..

Rosepetal, that's really awful. I do feel for you. I hope they catch the scum who've done this.

Am so sorry to hear that news. Life is definately not being fair on you guys at the moment, that is for sure. When you think of the second hand value of those items on the black market, it is a wonder that anyone would risk their freedom for such petty crime. Let's hope they catch the culprits soon.

Hi,yes it's been a blow. i cried because we'll have to find the excess,it's not too much,i was just trying to start on the budget we did with Tina. We are just grateful no one was there.

they took his ps3(he pooled all his xmas money to get that last year[:(]),his camera that he again pooled his 21st birthday money for,laptop,hard drive with work and pictures on,ps3 games etc etc and have broken a set of locked drawers. we think they left his tv but won't know properly until we can take him down to look. we're concerned incase his passport's gone. he's contacted his bank just incase.

i'm just so grateful we made sure he was covered,it's easy to skimp on things like contents insurance when things are tight but there'd be no way we could even help replace these things now.

hope the police catch them!
