having a credit check done tomorrow for a new car. Invested £14.99 in Experian so I could check that everything is ok.

Checked it in October2016 to check that all the default dates were correct.

One default date was a few days out, due to come off on the 4th Nov2016.

Our anniversary date was 27th October. Checked on the 2nd NOV and everything had fallen off except one NATIONWIDE accout which the 6 year anniversary was 4th NOV.
Spoke to Experian and they assured me it would be off on the 5th Nov.
Sure to their word that came off.

BUT...... There on the record is a default from the NATIONWIDE.[:(!]

When I have looked at the default date it says 8/6/11.

Now this account on my records that they sent me in October the account had a correct default date of the 27/11/2010.

Now as if by magic Nationwide have added it to my records with a different default date, WHICH IS NOT CORRECT[:(!]
Our iva was passed on the 27/10/10.

I am absolutely fuming with them.

Its 23.00 at night and im steaming.

CAN THEY DO THIS TO ME?

CAN THEY REMOVE IT STRAIGHT AWAY?

Experian are going to say speak to your lender aren't they?

One PI*SED OFF GRUMPY CUSTOMER.
sORRY FOR RANT BUT IM NOT HAPPY.

Going to ring Experian at 9am to ask them to remove the default.
After all they clearly said that I can manage my credit score, and I can clearly prove to them that the default which was added on over the weekend is incorrect.

If they refuse, could I take them to small claims court because I had put a £500 deposit on a car knowing on Monday (today) that a credit check would be done and now I could lose it.

Also Nationwide..... if they refuse to correct it straight away who would I make a complaint to about them?

I know it's pretty sad but I've not slept all night because I'm so b***** angry.

Thanks

Baldy.

Bum, b*gg*r £ bust! Let us know how you get on --- remember, when speaking to them, that you will catch more flies with honey rather than vinegar.

Complaints will need to be directed at the ICO.

Hi.
Have calmed down a bit now!!!
Spent 1.5hrs talking to Experian. The guy was really helpful but could NOT take it off!!! He went through everything and spotted an issue with a Halifax account. I've made a complaint to Experian about loading up information that they are taking at face value that it is correct.

Nationwide apologised loads and said they will get it taken off in 48hrs.And would look into why it had been loaded up.

Thought I would ring the dealer expecting the worse and before I could say anything he said it's all gone through!!!!!![8D[:D]

Got e-mail from Experian say they are writing to the Nationwide and Halifax because they believe their information is wrong.

Sorry for the rant. Spent 6 years jumping through hoops doing everything correctly to get to here, and did not want to fall at the last fence.
Thanks
Baldy.

Hey thanks Foggy!!!

Yes it's good news about car.

Still running our budget though!!! It's probley the most important aspect of the IVA process that will stay with us.

I've actually told a couple of mates at work who I really trust about the situation we were in and one of them has asked me for some advice for his daughter and I told them to look at the site for an idea of what goes on.

Anyway thanks for reply so, hopefully everything will calm down.
