My hubby and I are in an IVA which has already been reduced, now 25p in £ but still £600 per month, due to me loosing my job and taking a new job on less pay. Now my hubby, who is self employed, has lost a contract and work will dry up in the next few weeks. To top it all our central heating boiler has packed up - no heating, no hot water and kids! Does life have to be this hard. What are our options? Hubby will get £65 pw income support. Feel like I need to end it all, can't take anymore. Where do you get £3k from when your on an IVA? Someone please help!!! We are desperate

Hi Rachy,

Don't do anything drastic- you've got lots of options. You need to phone your insolvency practice for some support and advice as soon as possible, and hopefully they will be able to put your mind at rest and organise a payment break so you can buy a new boiler. Did you say your IP was Melanie in your other post?
Take care,

Life can sometimes throw lots a brown stuff in one direction it seems. Contact your IP as soon as you can to try and work out a way forward. Perhaps even a 6 month payment break to allow you to get back on track. Can you borrow from family for the boiler repair?? We just had to hunt for nearly £800 for wifes cars mot!!
Does hubby expect to get more work soon?

I can only agree with what the others have said. Contact Melanie's team straightaway and explain the problem. They will do their best to help and you have no reason to be afraid.

the best thing to do is talk with Melanies team, the worst thing you can do is not talk to them they will find options for you.

And heres hoping for the best and you have my sympathies.
