Hello everyone![:)] Firstly sorry for my absence but I have been away at mother in laws over half term and then my laptop had to go to hospital as it wasnt very well....anyway it wasnt terminal and is now back and running thank goodness!! Thank the lord we took out a coverplan for such illnesses![:D]

I will need to spend some time reading through the forum to catch up on everyones news but in the meantime my good news is that we had our creditors meeting yesterday and the very lovely Hywel was able to confirm that bar Black Horse who I always knew would be a no, we had a resounding yes. We owe circa £160k and will be paying 24pence in the pound for the next 60 months. Our creditors were HMRC, NatWest, Bank of Scotland, Mint, Halifax and MBNA. So having started to look at our situation back in April last year to finally get to this point is quite a relief. I certainly dont feel as though we are out of the woods yet because having a self employed husband does make one very jittery in this current climate but we are going to keep our heads down and do everything we possibly can to get through the next 5 years to debt freedom.

I'd like to thank Melanie and her brilliant team for all their hard work and support - ours was never going to be a straight forward case but they still got us there and Melanie was fantastic when we had our face to face with her in Cardiff (the woman is unbelievably dedicated and I cannot recommend her and her teams services enough!) I just hope and pray now that we can get through this IVA smoothly and keep Mel's record of no self employed failures in tact!

And most importantly an ENORMOUS THANK YOU to all the lovely wonderful people who spend hours on here responding at all times of the day or night to people like me who are in desperate situations....Jayne, Jan (kallis), Lilly, Vicki, Fergie (I know your a relative newbie but you have joined the ranks of stalwart), moretolife, uptomyneck and so many others. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful support and encouragement and I hope now that I can do the same for others!

1 payment down....59 to go....onwards and upwards!!! [;)] Love and hugs to you all....Fi xxxxx
Still gathering info....but hope to be on the right path pronto!!

Its really satisfying to hear of others getting properly on track like this. Even though its complete strangers(and some really are strange!!),that you may never meet,we all appear to have interlinked lives because of a terrible thing like debt!!!
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
