Hi. I've completed my iva last year and have dropped off the register this year (may15). I've recently applied for a rental property and I'm undergoing a credit check with homelet. I misread one of the questions, do you have any ccj's.. So answered no. Because technically I haven't at this stage. But i noticed it asked if I'd had any adverse credit history. Which obviously I had. Panicking now because my reference application has gone in. Should I correct my application? It was a genuine mistake :(

Personally I think as it has gone in and it was a genuine error I would wait and see what the response is. If the query is raised you can then explain you misread the question as you thought it only related to CCJs.

If your credit file is clear then you could argue you do not have an adverse credit history. It is unlikely to be found on a credit search anyway if the IVA started more than six years ago.
