Hi, just after a bit of advise - DFD asked for our most recent mortgage statement as we are in our final year of our IVA (that sounds so lovely!) anyway I sent that in on the 1 May along with a property valuation from Zoopla, but I have heard nothing since.

I know I'm not in any particular rush as we actually finish in December, but I've been checking the property values on Zoopla, and ours has gone down quite significantly which I think will take us to owing about the 85%. I know Zoopla isn't as accurate as some other methods, but is it worth letting DFD know or just finding out what's happening. (sorry started rambling at the end)

I suppose what I'm asking is should I contact DFD and should I notify them about the decrease in value of property.

I don't think I would worry too much. Of course if you cannot push it to the back of your mind then give them a call.

They will have to contact you anyway once they have looked at your correspondence so you can mention it then?

Alternatively you could contact declan on dmurray@debtfreedirect.co.uk.

The only thing I would say is, all IP companies have their hands full at present with closure issues so in the grand scheme of things I think there is probably a lot of higher priority work going on at present.

I would give it a week and then contact them.

Some IP companies have taken a lot of flak on here over the last few weeks, but I am sure that they are pulling their hair out over all the changes, extra work needed to be done etc etc.

Having worked in a busy department I know that if you are in 'arrears' with work, it increases telephone traffice and repeat enquiries. If you are happy to wait a bit for a response I think that's probably the best course of action!

Well done for being close to the end. It's a lovely feeling when you get all the completion papers through!!

Might be worth giving them a call or dropping them an email to clarify the position.

I sent in a valuation from a local property company who did it all by email. Forwarded this to my IP and the property is now excluded from my IVA x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi Coupleplus i too am with DFD and was in the same situation as you last September i did as you have and didn't get an answer until January of this year as they will look at your case and review it. I also used Zoopla and sent in the copy, it might be of help if there are any properties nearby to you that are simular for sale and send in those details too which i also did, otherwise please don't worry as long as they have them, it will be sorted and as i was told by DFD when i phoned them up they will prioritise those nearer to finishing than yourself, not good but that's the way they do things added to the fact there is also the TAX/PPI problems as well, don't worry and good luck. xx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Just an update, got a phonecall from DFD this afternoon and we are looking at 3 weeks till we find out whether we can finish or it will be another 12 months.

Thanks all, especially Declan - I didn't expect responses so quick!
