I need a moan! I went to Tesco tonight and I was waiting to return some stupidly sized pyjamas - there were 5 members of staff standing having a chat, the poor girl at customer 'service' was on crutches and hobbling round as best she could! I was just about to start having a moan at the ones having a chat about the weather, when it got to my turn.

Why oh why can't stores teach their staff the art of customer service?!?!

I totally agree and all too often lacking these days, one of my pet hates is the assistant on the till holding a conversation with the person on the till in front of you whilst scanning your shopping....hello I'm here! x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Don't you just hate it! I loathe being treated as though I'm invisible!

I hate it when they wizz your shopping down the sloppy thing for you to pack and cant be bothered to be carefull with things like biscuits and delicate things. I once asked one of the staff on the checkout if they liked working there and they just looked at me stupid. I then said if they didnt I could arrange for them to collect their cards.Having said that most of the staff in our local Tesco are great and even help the elderly to their cars with their shopping.

I have to say that all the stores I visit have always been good when it comes to packing and being careful.

A lot of the staff in my local Tesco are appalling and I've written to complain about them - for all the good it did! I get fed up with the shouting across to the girl on the next checkout about what they are doing that evening whilst totally ignoring me! I don't care what they are doing, I just want to get in and out as fast as possible.

I think that the customer service training in stores like Tesco is somewhat lacking, and I have to say that if I'd rather queue for a checkout with an older member of staff than go to some of the younger ones.

Our local Tesco is quite good and the only problem I've had is when they are miserable and don't even manage a smile.

I prefer Asda or Sainsburys for customer service and I only shop at Tesco as it's the easiest one for me to get to.

Perhaps your Tesco staff should come to my store for some training in customer service!

I did suggest they might like to learn about customer service when I complained but all I was told is that Tesco staff are all highly trained - yeah right!

Had a *do* with haven holidays recently when we floated off the site in my campervan - they said we were the only family on the site that complained when in fact virtually everyone went home that day-the whole place flooded. They promised in October we would get a credit note and it was already in the post.5 phone calls and 3 e-mails later said credit note arrived this morning!!!
So next holiday is on them-we have become americanised in every way except for complaining.Bad customer service- especially when i am made out to be a liar or they say have no grounds to complain really gets to me.I really am a female Victor Meldrew when it comes to poor service. If your job description is customer care-CARE!!!
I will tell someone if i feel they are not doing their job-which is quite often nowadays. My mum wont even stand at the same checkout as me because shes embarrassed when i say anything!!!
full and final accepted January 2015

iva agreed; August 2010
iva would have completed; August 2017
extra year thank's to NRAM

I can complain for England when needs be and have done so on numerous occasions. I also give praise where it's due as well.

I'll only complain if justified to do so but like Jan will offer praise where due and deserved.
